American Steel Building Company, Inc., headquartered in Houston, Texas, is a manufacturer of steel building systems and self-storage (single and multi-story) building systems. It also has supplemental product lines including industrial pallet racks and steel building components. The company sells its product directly to customers and through dealer-builders throughout the United States and abroad.

American occupies a 280,000 square foot manufacturing facility located on Robin Boulevard in Houston, Texas, and with a staff that includes registered engineers, draftsmen, erection specialists, certified welders, project consultants, and a fully staffed and qualified production department for each division.

American markets, designs, and manufactures complete steel building systems for the metal building and self-storage industries. The Company also manufactures and construes industrial pallet racks. American provides the necessary engineering and design services to complement their product lines.

American was organized in 1953 and has operated continuously and successfully since that time. The existing facilities have been enlarged and improved as sales and revenues have grown. American's facilities are capable of producing a full line of steel building systems.
American sells directly to customers and through distribution agreements with dealer-builders. The Company is represented throughout the United States and abroad.

American maintains an inventory of raw materials necessary to complete a steel building system. The raw materials include plates, sheet steel, hot and cold rolled steel and sheeting material. Some of the suppliers of these materials include Sumitomo Corporation, Southwest Steel Trading, USX Corporation, Nucor Steel, and Friedman Industries.

Upon direct request, American Steel Building Company, Inc. will forward insurance certificates covering normal requirements. American has past experience in bonding requirements and has bond capabilities for virtually any size bid.

American is in compliance with all state and federal regulatory laws.

American is a member of the Metal Building manufacturers Association (MBMA), the Self Storage Association (SSA), and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). American's engineers maintain various memberships in technical societies such as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the American Welding Society (AWS), and the International Conference of Building officials (ICBO) which administers the Uniform Building Code.

American Steel Building Company, Inc. has been issued an AISC-MB Certification by the American Institute of Steel Construction in their Quality Certification Program. American is also a certified fabricator for the City of Houston, Texas and Clark County, Nevada.
